Azure endpoint to verify a username/password?

Hi,

I am currently migrating my application from OKTA to Azure. Using OKTA, we have functionality for an electronic signature using an API endpoint that OKTA provide to verify a username/password combination. I cannot identify an Azure endpoint to provide the same functionality. If anybody could point me in the right direction to a workable solution for electronic signatures using azure, it would be very much appreciated.
