tenant migration- exchange hybrid

Mario Grdiša 81 Reputation points

we have a exchange hybrid with O365 mailboxes .
i have to move it all to the new tenant.

My plan is to migrate mailbox content using 3rd party tool, remove-hybrid and disable AD Connect from source tenant.
On destination tenant, start AD Connect, and establish hybrid.

Can new hybrid do some harm to existing O365 mailboxes? or any harm at all?

You could follow the Scenario one to remove hybrid from old tenant.

Then you could use 3rd party tool to move content from the old tenant to the new tenant. Microsoft also provides a way for cross-tenant migration.

After cross-tenant migration, you could use AAD Connect to sync AAD account back to local AD (Detailed steps you could double confirm with the AAD Connect team).
