Can't access the Azure Data Catalog

Hi,

I have access to the Azure Services Portal, but when I try to add the Azure Data Catalog service to my Portal I get this error?

Error: "You've logged in using a personal Microsoft account. Azure Data Catalog only supports using work or school accounts. Please log in using your work or school account to create an Azure Data Catalog."

Can I change a setting in my Personal Account (which is my business account - sole company) to activate the Work feature.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Based on the error message, it states your personal account not be support to set up Data Catalog since it can meet the prerequisites. As we know, to set up Data Catalog, you must be the owner or co-owner of an Azure subscription, and you must be signed in with an Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) user account.

But, by using the Azure portal, you can sign in with either a personal Microsoft account or an Azure Active Directory work or school account. To set up Data Catalog by using either the Azure portal or the Data Catalog portal, you must sign in with an Azure Active Directory account, not a personal account.

So, you also can change setting in your personal account to active the work feature (advance feature)

Thanks,

Richard
