Change display name to "User(firstname) from company" for outbound emails in Outlook

Olafs Reinis 21 Reputation points

We have Microsoft Exchange, one of our users wants the display name changed to "User from company" in the email for further correspondence in Outlook. Instead of changing the display name in Microsoft 365 admin/Exchange admin portal.

Is there such an option in Outlook?

Looking forward to your reply,

Thank you!

    Hi @Olafs Reinis ,

I'm afraid there is no such option in outlook to change the display name.

By default, you will not be able to update the user name for an Exchange account in Outlook side. The information is read from the server directly, only the Exchange admin can change how your name is displayed to other people.

For POP and IMAP email accounts, the name field is editable. Refer to this article for more information on this:
Change the display name that email recipients see
