What version of Azure Lab Services are you using (pre or post April 2022 Update)?
Does the lab use advanced networking?
Does your school/organization have a firewall?
Is it the same person trying to access the template VM as the published lab VM? Or is it only the students that can't access their VMs?
Are you using any integrations (Team/Canvas) or the website (https://labs.azure.come)?
What OS are you using (Linux/Windows)? Is it a Marketplace image or a custom image?
Any notable customizations to the template before publishing?

Lee Jackson 0 Reputation points2023-09-11T15:05:42.1666667+00:00 I'd be interested to know if this was resolved as I have experienced the same issue today when creating a new Lab Template in a Resource Group with advanced networking enabled.
VM was created with Windows 10 LTSC on a "Medium" size in East US data center. I have not configured the machine AT ALL yet, this was brand new when I started the template. It comes up with a message to say it's not online or remote access is disabled. -

sam john 0 Reputation points2024-04-02T19:39:46.36+00:00 please make sure that remote desktop is enabled on VM. You can do this by right click on the This PC, then go to properties, on right side select the option remote desktop. be sure Enable remote desktop is on. And you can also check the Azure portal log file to check the error and warning message related information.
