Question

the delegate page is not available cannot access outlook folder

"User 1" is trying to provide the delegate to "User 2". However, getting following error -

"the delegate page is not available cannot access outlook folder"

We have tried different troubleshooting's -

Removed the previous delegate access from OWA ( As on Outlook client its not opening)and try providing from OWA/Client version - Did not worked
Clear the rules both on OWA and Client
Setup a new profile, and did the re-installation
Tried on multiple machines
There is not shared mail ID

MS office - 365
Version 2018 - latest build

According to your description, I found a known issue which mentioned the same error message as yours. It introduced that this issue may occur after the manager's or delegate's mailbox is moved to a new forest. If it's your issue, please refer to the resolution in this official article:

Thank you for the response.
I have tried above troubleshooting however, it did not work. Also, mailbox has not been moved to new forest.

Does this issue occur recently? If so, have you done any specific operations before that?

Do other users encounter the same issue?

Considering that the manual clearing rule is not completely cleared, please try to enter an instruction to delete: win+R>Outlook /CleanRules

Does this issue occur recently? If so, have you done any specific operations before that? - Yes, earlier it was working fine. This issue occur all of the sudden. We have not done any changes to our environment or to this specific user.

Do other users encounter the same issue? - No. Only one specific user is facing this issue.

Considering that the manual clearing rule is not completely cleared, please try to enter an instruction to delete: win+R>Outlook /CleanRules - Yes, we have done this. Even exported the rules then did this multiple times.

For error "the delegate page is not available cannot access outlook folder", based on my search, the issue might occur because your mailbox property does not correctly reference a hidden message in the mailbox, to resolve it, you need to force the regeneration of hidden free/busy information in your mailbox, details about how to resolve this kind of issue, please refer to this article.

Check the mailbox root folder permissions and enabled "Folder visible" option.

If the above doesn't help, it is suggested exchange admin use EAC to assign permissions to a mailbox, refer to the section "Use the EAC to assign permissions to individual mailboxes" from this document and see if it works.

Thank you for this information.

I had raised the ticket with Microsoft and they have also provided the same article where they have asked the command to clear the mailbox permission.

Remove-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity <alis name>:\Calendar -ResetDelegateUserCollection

Will update, whether this resolve this issue or not?

The command:

Remove-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity <alis name>:\Calendar -ResetDelegateUserCollection
