Hi,

I am using Azure Site Recovery to replicate VMs between two regions and I would like to harden the storage account that is used for the replicated data. In past I have used a MS docs article to harden such storage accounts (for ASR), however I am unable to locate it this time. Just wondering if anyone can help locate this information?

@JavaM Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand that you want some documentation on hardening the ASR Vaults that are being used for storing the VM backups.

Just adding to the above response.

The VM replication data is stored in the Cache Storage Account during replication. Therefore, I would suggest you refer to the Security Consideration for a Storage account for hardening the replicated data. Here is more information on the same.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be glad to assist you further. Thank you!
