Is it possible to add specific items to the Display Items section under Fonts and Colors?

I've seen this question asked maybe twice, one post links to another post that is 404'ed, both are over 10 years old. I'm working mostly with C++ and would like to set a custom foreground color for the scope resolution operator "::". Currently, the closest thing that can accomplish this is setting the "Operator" category to a certain color, however this will change every operator's color. I was wondering if I have the ability to add this specific operator to the display items list and set a color for only that specific operator.

PS: There is no "visual-studio tag for me to pick from"

Hi @LexicalLuthor-8169 ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

For your requirement, I suppose it is impossible to set a foreground color for a specific operator or add specific items in display items.

The Operator feature under Display items applies to all operators in Text Editor.

If you have any suggestion about the feature, you can directly report it to product team by selecting “Help” menu > Send Feedback.

Thank you for helping us build a better Visual Studio!

Sincerely,
Anna
