Taskbar freezes shortly after startup

Hi, recently my pc has begun having the strangest issue, with the taskbar freezing about 2 minutes after logging into the machine, and soon after windows itself will stop responding. Any opened apps will still work for the most part until everything fails altogether. I have done a full virus scan and checked for corrupted system files, but everything seems to be in order. By checking the event logs, nothing too major seems to show up, but it does say that "disc 2 has been forcefully ejected" which is odd saying there is no disc 2 on my computer. Is there any other steps I can take to fix this? Or should I just try to reinstall windows in hopes of it working?
Please note my hardware shouldn't be an issue, every part of the computer is less than 2 years old and more than enough to handle windows.

Do you experience the same in Safe Boot or in Clean Boot state?

    Hi AlexWiedman-6734,

The first step I would recommend is a full hardware diagnostic. You can often do this from the BIOS or boot option. This kind of problem can be related to hardware, especially RAM (faulty or unseated) or overheating.

Once you’re happy that the hardware is all ok, I would recommend a clean installation of windows.
