Page File Size on RDS 2019.

Hello. On my terminal server, the Page File reaches 16Gb~

The default setting is Automatic.

Is it really necessary to allocate so much? Do I understand correctly that it is only necessary for the 'crash dump'?

Can I set 257mb without any problems ?

Hello @47451047

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform,

I would recommend using the default values in terms of initial, maximum, and minimum settings for the page file. Disabling or setting the page file size too small can reduce system performance and cause instability and crashes in Windows.

Please check the article below for more information:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/client-management/determine-appropriate-page-file-size

I hope this helps!
