We are using Veeam backup.

That's a thrid-party product; have you contacted Veeam support first, may it's a known issue?

Hi there,

I suppose veeam uses an agent on your target SQL Server.
Under which user account is the veeam agent running?
It seems that the executing account does not have the appropriate permissions.

Best regards
Dirk

Hi,

The account Veeam uses to take backup have the correct permissions since it's in the "administrators" group locally on the server, so permissions shouldn't be the issue here.. but thanks for the reply!
