Each Windows operating system has supported CPU.

These are the supported Intel CPU for Windows 11:

Most computers that run WIndows 10 can run Windows 11 in a supported or unsupported fashion.

This includes desktops, laptops, and tablets.

If upgrading in the unsupported fashion the user will likely not benefit from the improvements in performance, reliability, and security.

If you choose to upgrade in an unsupported fashion make sure that you make free backup images so that you can always return to WIndows 10.

There is a default 10 day go back period that can be modified to 60 days.

However the go back feature could fail.

This is a link on how to upgrade in an unsupported fashion:

If your processor isn't supported, you can keep using Windows 10 which is supported through 2025.

Also, as per Microsoft:

Installing Windows 11 on PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements is not recommended and may result in compatibility issues. If you proceed with installing Windows 11, your PC will no longer be supported and won't be entitled to receive updates.
