Word will not save due to "permission error"

I cannot save my Word files, it keeps saying "file permission error". There should be no such errors. I tried "Save As", I have tried copy and pasting the document in to a new file and saving that - I keep getting the same stupid error message. I also tried saving the file to a different folder, not on a shared network, that did not work either. I checked the add-ons but there are no enabled add-ons. THIS IS EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT. I USE THIS FOR WORK! FOR A PRODUCT LIKE WORD THAT SERVICES MILLIONS AND HAS BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. Also, it's pretty rotten that there is no phone number to call when I have a paid subscription to Microsoft Office. Apparently you can take our money but you have no real intention to provide a good service.

ALSO: how the fuck am i supposed to know what the tag should be you stupid fucking assholes? How can you make that a required field without any explanation???? What are you all smoking over there and why isn't it making you smarter?

First of all: Swearing will not help you getting a faster response! Most of the people answering questions here are volunteers who are happy to help their peers and do not get a cent from your subscription. So please cool down.

Do you have general permission to save files to the folder you want to save to? (If you are not sure, ask your administrator.) Can you copy an existing file to this folder (using Windows Explorer)?
If you cannot save or copy any file to this folder, ask your admin to give you access.
I usually do not encourage users to store files on their Desktop, but the Desktop is a folder to which you should have full access in any case, so try to save your file there. And move it later.
If that does not work either, is there any additional information in the error message? Can you please provide us with a screenshot of the error message?
