get call stack for TechnicalProfiles in custom policy

I am use custom policy in Azure B2c, need to call a API via TechnicalProfile to get some data during user journeys, I have application insight turned on, but It only logs error as "connection exception" without any call stack or stack trace. How do I catch full stack trace or detailed exceptions in application insight for a custom policy, especially for the step of calling an API?
