We tried to repro the issue but its working fine at our end. We are able to follow up older requests and new requests are getting created as expected. Please try to update the MS teams version and check if it helps.

Hello Teams Community
Please i need your help on this issue.
The approvals app in Microsoft teams has stopped working for users. It no longer lists approvals - current or previous. It says "Something went wrong. Open the app again, or try to create an approval if this is your first time using the app." This is effecting multiple users.

Have you tried to login Teams web client to see if this issue can be reproduced?
As @Prasad-MSFT said, please make sure your client version is the newest. If there is no issue in Teams web client, we also recommend you try to clear Teams client cache file to see if it could be fixed.

WE have tried updating teams and clearing my teams cache – this has not fixed the issue.

If you create a new approvals, could it be seen normally?
Meanwhile, please also try to login in Teams web client via privacy mode to see if it can be fixed.
