My server hardware failed. I repaired the hardware. I copied my files to a usb hard drive. My files stop and start randomly. The files are mirrored. All my files appear to be intact. Yet they still stop and start as if there are gaps. How do I repair my files. I am running windows server essentials 2016

Might try the files on other machines known to be working in order to determine if the files are corrupt or the hardware has problems.

I still need to rework my storage pools. I had added an 8 tb drive but could not interject the drive into the storage pool. I have to get a better understanding of the application of all my drives. The external hdd enclosure had a weird fault. I replaced it and gave it a quick test. Seems good now. With huge wind storm and resultant ongoing 3 day power outage it will take time to identify all issues incurred in re-intiating the server. Thanks for your help. I just wish I could connect my client PC's to the server. Since migration from2012 to 2016 it was not a problem. Took all direction and still won't connect.
