Outlook 2019 will not connect to Exchange 2019

A new installled Exchange DAG setup behinde a load balancer.
OWA works fine
But Outlook will not connect no errors are reported and even started with /rpcdiag no information are logged.
It pops up with login information which I enter but it does not help.
Are there any way to find out what is going on. So I can get it to work.
I can see in the load balancer that it starts with request for /Autodiscover, but what there happen after ????
It tries or do something for over 20 minuts, but no information.

Does anybody have an idea how to find out to get this solved.

And those /autodiscover requests are forwarded to Exchange?
Have you tried setting the IP address in the HOSTS file of the client with outlook to point to Exchange directly, bypassing the loadbalancer and removing it from the equation?

Hi
I am still trying to fin out what going on because the only thing that do not work is /autodiscover.
The Load balancer say in debug mode that it is accepting the traffic and send it to the mail server, but on the server where I use pktmon to capture traffic it says nothing comes in?
If I direct the traffic directly with setting up autodiscover.domain.com and mail.domain.com in hosts it works. This also made the firstrun of Outlook to finish and hereby it was possible to run the test for autodiscover, and here I can see in log that i get an error 401. Which I know what means but that is a replay from the server which has not recived the traffic acordingly with pktmon?????? I get also login window pupping up all the time. So that fits with 401.

But thanks for asking
Regards
Henning

Hi,

I suppose the cause may be with load balancer configuration.

If possible, please involve support for investigation.

I tried you idea with host, but it was better to change the DNS setting insted.
But I have found another problem.
I can see that there is a problem in the event log which fit with this case.
https://support.microsoft.com/da-dk/topic/autodiscover-event-id-1-after-installing-exchange-server-2019-cu3-or-exchange-server-2016-cu14-93850e62-4cf4-8a76-5fd4-c8ce6f032015

But It is not possible to use
Set-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory -Identity 'autodiscover (default Web site)' -ExternalUrl https://autodiscover.domain.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'ExternalUrl'.
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [Set-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory], ParameterBindingException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : NamedParameterNotFound,Set-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory
+ PSComputerName : Hostname

Any ideas how to get Set-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory to work
