how to pull the description field from a sharepoint list into PowerApps?

When using PowerApps to format the entry screen for a SharePoint list, I noticed that the column description is not pulled in PowerApps.
Can this be done? If yes, how?
I am a PowerApps newbie.

Per my knowledge, get the column description from a SharePoint list into Power Apps is not available.

As a workaround, go to DataCardValue of the column -> Advanced -> Data -> HintText. It has the same function as column description. This text will be displayed in the column when the field in the form is empty.

That was the workaround I used.
I was hoping that maybe some system updates has been of which I was unaware.
