Getting unexpected requests on Azure Container Instance Deployment

I have a deployed azure container instance with ports 443 and 80 exposed. My application is only expecting to receive POST requests, but I get a large number of GET and HEAD requests such as the following

method="GET",path="/manager/text/list"
method="GET",path="/_private/"
method="HEAD",path="/images/ctxHeader01.jpg"

and many more.

Why is this happening and how to fix it?

Hi,
It looks like someone is probing your webapp to detect possibly vulnerable apps/appliances. The first request seems to be probing if you are running Apache Tomcat. The third request is looking if your host is a Citrix NetScaler.

It's best to double check/scan your app for vulnerabilities yourself to make sure you are safe. Maybe consider an architecture with a WAF
