Is it important to have userType?

I have another issue where we have released an app and made an azure group for who is getting access. One of the people in the Azure group has blank userType and can't see the app we added to Teams. This user was added before 2014 when userType as introduced. Could a lack of userType solve this issue?

(This person has access to the app via web-browser so this has nothing to do with security roles and permissions.)

Hi @Sara de Hond , I'm currently doing some test on this, please try setting the “UserType” to “Member” by running the following PowerShell command:

Set-MsolUser -UserPrincipalName username@contoso.onmicrosoft.com -UserType Member

Hi @Zehui Yao_MSFT I am more interested to know what having member vs blank results in. We set the userType to Member and the user was able to access the app package after that. But I mainly just want to know the logic and not have to test things to figure them out, if you know what I mean.
