So I tried many things googled for hours, to no prevail.

I had multiple issues when uninstalling SQL Server (express). I tried Developer. It works now. Unfortunately there are 4 instances, which I want to clean to have 1 remain. When I try to open the the uninstaller through the "Apps & Feature" page I just get the following error:
205549-afbeelding.png

I got an error/warning when installing SQL Server.
Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe)
Exit code decimal -2068119551

I don't know if people need extra info to help resolve the problem but I would 100% appreciate any help.

The error message you posted is for SystemSettings.exe, not the SQL setup program.

Go download the SQL Express setup program for the version that you have installed. Then run the setup program directly. It should give you the option to uninstall at that point. Note however that many apps auto-install SQL Express as part of their install and therefore you may not be able to remove it. Old versions of Visual Studio fall into this category.

I don't know what your other instances of SQL are that are installed so I cannot answer to those points.

    Hi @Sophie ,

Did you mean that you uninstall SQL server 2019 Express instance failed? But the SQL server summary setup log that you offered is installation log.

According to your summary log, you have installed five SQL server 2019 express instances. Did you want to uninstall four instances?

Please try to uninstall SQL server instance from Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features as below screenshot. Right click SQL server 2019 (bit), choose Uninstall. Refer to the blog How to Uninstall SQL Server 2019 Instance to get detail steps.

If it is still not work, please share us the uninstall SQL server setup log. The log is located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\150\Setup Bootstrap\Log by default. A time folder is automatically generated for each installation and uninstallation. Please choose the correct folder.
