is any option to change imap throttling policy?

Hello morning

we re using an antispam server '' sophos '' with connector on office 365 and yasterday late we had received a warning message '' Desc: readung a mailbox via imap using java application we get a throttling message from system: javax.mail.MessagingException: LAA3 BAD Request is throttled. Suggested Backoff Time: 123422''

is there a way to adjust the policy for IMAP throttling on office 365 ?

i had tried to find PS but what i had found it only for on premises servers and not clould

Throttling policies are not exposed in Exchange Online, you cannot view them via PowerShell, let alone change them. There is a self-service mechanism within the M365 Admin center to request temporary quota increase in some scenarios, but it does not cover IMAP afaik. So your best option here is to open a support case.

do u think with support usually they can do with repairing from their end ? or i should refer to the 3rd party antispam server assistance?

They probably have some guidance on how to work with Office 365 mailboxes, so best check with them.
