6062 - LSO was triggered: How do I fix?

Hey, I've been noticing an issue with my internet, and looking into the event viewer, it keeps showing that my internet adapter is constantly triggering a warning that is only marked as "6062 - Lso was triggered" I have also used my keen observation skills to notice that these happen in tandem with my Wi-Fi bumming out. Anyone know a fix? I'm running an Alienware Dell G15 with an Intel Wi-Fi 6 adapter, Ax201 model, and the drivers have been updated with the ones given from the dell website.

    Dear Gabriel Austin!

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Don't worry, I will help you solve the problem together.

The "6062 - LSO Triggered" event usually refers to the "Large Send Offload" feature being triggered on your network adapter. LSO is a network optimization technology designed to improve network performance by allowing the network adapter to send larger packets to reduce the CPU load. However, in some cases, LSO can cause network connectivity issues.

This is a really annoying issue you are experiencing. Event ID 6062 and LSO (Large Send Offload) triggering are usually related to the performance optimization feature of the network adapter. Let's try to solve this problem step by step:

    1. Update the driver:

You mentioned that you have updated with the driver from the Dell website, which is a good start. However, sometimes the driver on the manufacturer's website may not be the latest. I suggest you also try:

Visit the Intel official website and search for your specific model (Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201) to see if there is an updated driver.

    2. Disable LSO:

If updating the driver does not solve the problem, we can try to disable LSO:

    Open Device Manager

    Find your network adapter

    Right-click and select "Properties"

In the "Advanced" tab, find "Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4)" and "Large Send Offload V2 (IPv6)"

    Change their values to "Disabled"

    3. Power Management Settings:

In Device Manager, find your network adapter

In the "Power Management" tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

    4. Network Adapter Reset:

Open Windows Settings > Network and Internet > Advanced Network Settings

Click "Network Reset" and follow the prompts

    5. Check for wireless interference:

Make sure your router is away from devices that may cause interference, such as microwave ovens or cordless phones

    Try changing the Wi-Fi channel

    6. Update BIOS and firmware:

Check Dell's official website for BIOS updates for your Alienware Dell G15

    7. Check Event Viewer details:

In Event Viewer, check the details for the "6062 - LSO Triggered" warning to see if there is a more specific error description or suggested solution.

If none of the above fixes the problem, you may want to consider:

Contact Dell Technical Support to see if they have a known issue and solution for this specific model

If possible, try using a wired network connection to see if the problem persists

Please try these steps one by one, checking after each step to see if the problem is solved. If you need more detailed instructions for any step, or if the problem persists, please let me know. We will continue to search for a solution.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

    Best regards,

I have tried all of these and still have found limited success. A "Power Management" tab does not even show up in device manager for me, and there was only one view in the advanced settings for Large Send Offload. I will attempt to use Wired Internet, and contact Dell Support in the Meantime. Thank you for these offered solutions, but they don't seem to work for me. However, if someone else has the same issue, I do hope they find themselves luckier than I find myself right now.
