How to change VNet and Subnet of an existing Azure Application Gateway?

Hello,

I need to migrate our current WAF form one Vnet to another one and I cannot find any up to date instructions online. Would anyone share some steps please?
WAF is setup to use public IP within Listeners settings.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

Many thanks
Agi

Hello @AgiPasieka-6432, Thank you for reaching out to us.

Moving an Azure Application Gateway across VNETS is not supported. You can move an Application Gateway across subnets within the same virtual network only. This limitation is documented here. You can move the Application Gateway across subnet using PowerShell/CLI commands from the link shared above.

The work-around in this case will be to recreate the Azure Application Gateway in the new VNET. It will be helpful if you could create a feedback item in this case, so that the team can prioritize this request.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
