The DPM service was unable to communicate with the protection agent on DPM server. (ID 52 Details: The semaphore timeout period has expired (0x80070079))

Description: The replica of Microsoft Hyper-V VM on HYPERV Base machine is inconsistent with the protected data source. All protection activities for data source will fail until the replica is synchronized with consistency check. You can recover data from existing recovery points, but new recovery points cannot be created until the replica is consistent.

For SharePoint farm, recovery points will continue getting created with the databases that are consistent. To backup inconsistent databases, run a consistency check on the farm. (ID 3106)

Recommended action:

  1. Restart the DPM Replication Agent service on DPM SERVER
  2. If DPM SERVER is configured using certificates, ensure that the DPM CPWrapper service is running on DPM Server. Also ensure that certificates used by both the computers are valid.

    Un agent DPM n’a pas pu communiquer avec le service DPM sur <server> en raison d’une erreur de communication. Assurez-vous que <server> est accessible à distance à partir de l’ordinateur exécutant l’agent DPM. Si un pare-feu est activé sur <serveur>, assurez-vous qu’il ne bloque pas les demandes de l’ordinateur exécutant l’agent DPM (code d’erreur : 0x800706ba, nom complet : <serveur>).

    DPM n’a pas pu communiquer avec l’agent de protection sur <serveur> car l’accès est refusé. (ID 42 Détails : Accès refusé (0x80070005))
