[SOLVED]

Hi,

I want to ask something about MS Authenticator. This noon GMT+7, 'Add Account to Backup' was show in the 3-dot menu, I added the MS account, then looking into the Details in Backup section, and the Created and Updated was Invalid Date.

I've lost the authentication codes twice, and I lost access to some accounts with no recovery codes i.e Indodax (Indonesian cryptocurrency marketplace) and Termius. Termius was recovered successfully by turning 2FA off on their side and Indodax needs further verification on my side.

How to fix this? I've try to synchronized the clock, using data, deleting and backup the codes again, and turning off the VPN. I've been reinstall it, and adding MS Account (no using Restore Backup), the backup still "Invalid Date"

Thanks for recommending others authenticator, but I won't move to other apps.

Thank you.

Sorry for my broken English.

Device: Realme 3 Pro, Android 11

For me on Samsung S10 now also solved with the June 22nd update.

Now nicely reporting correct timestamps again for "updated" and "created". No longer any "invalid date" being stated.

Thank you, even though it did take way longer than I'd hoped for. One would have thought, that MS, would be using their own authenicator and that this should have popped-up during basic testing of any new release? Is backup/recovery working for example?

    Notice the same.
No error or anything. On Android 12.
Too scared to delete the backup.

I was able to set up Authenticator on another device (Samsung Galaxy Tab) and tried to set up cloud backup on there. It returned a warning that there was already a backup (from my Pixel 5) and asked if I wanted to delete it. So apparently my phone did create a backup and it was updated as recently as today, but there is no way to be sure if the backup file is viable unless I wiped my app, reinstalled it, and then tried to restore.

Ok, the latest MS Auth App update does seem to resolve the issue.
After the update, when I launched the MS Auth App, I was prompted to sign in, to update the backup.

    Seems good now.

    Thanks team.
