Azure App service can't connect to LDAP server

I am trying to use System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement to get members of a group. Locally it can return the member list (with VPN enabled). While publish the services to Azure App Service, got the error: The LDAP server is unavailable
Anyone knows where do I miss the configuration?

2022-06-04T06:38:00.937+00:00 @Marilee Turscak-MSFT thanks for your response. I was following the doc: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7242226/get-members-of-active-directory-group-and-check-if-they-are-enabled-or-disabled to get member list of a group.
I think locally it works because my local computer joined the correct domain, however app service worker doesn't.
Is there a way to join app service work into a domain? or is there some other way to get member list of a group, i.e. through AAD?

Tim J 0 Reputation points2023-04-13T13:57:49.02+00:00 Any progress on this? I have the same question. We have an app that uses LDAP and we can't hit the endpoint. It appears to not even leave the App Service as the request is not visible on the firewall.
