perhaps you used the subst command to associate the path with a drive letter?
subst
or the drive was added to the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\DOS Devices
My %userprofile%\appdata\Local\Temp\ directory is showing as Z:\ Drive
For some reason, starting yesterday (at least thats when I noticed it) my %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp directory, has also been showing as the contents of a local drive Z:\
I tested this by creating a new folder in my appdata\temp and it showed up in Z:\ drive
This definitely isnt a recovery drive, that shows separately in disk management with no drive letter, while this Z:\ drive does not show in disk management, net use, or diskpart.

Disconnect (unmap) the drive and see if it reappears.
