Authenticator FML

This is beyond ridiculous. I had to perform a factory reset on my phone and I restored my backup (luckily I was cautious enough to check for such a thing before resetting) only to discover that all the passwords are missing. The "approve sign-in" and other useless features work fine, but the one thing I actually wanted and benefit from is gone. This is less than a month after Authenticator suggested a password that it immediately forgot and made me lose almost 12000 USD in Coinbase. Can we disable this BS? I never wanted it and it failed me on the one thing I actually needed. Sending crypto requires a fingerprint, Authenticator fingerprint AND code copy, SMS text, and your pin again before sending or transferring crypto or NFTs. Oh and you have 10 seconds. This was not a very thought out annoyance to have forced inside me....

The authenticator app is simply a code generator. It doesn't cache or store passwords. This was likely the phone device itself that was doing the credentials caching.

No updates thus far. And the Authenticator app has the code generator for each account connected, but also stores passwords that can be easily accessed on the opening screen. It was not all Auth though, you are correct, but by the time I get through the hoops from MS, Android, and a 3rd party wanting me to play a video game about humping dinosaurs...I have done forgotten what I was setting out to do in the first place.
