Rollback procedure for Defender for Endpoint on Windows and Linux?

Hi there,
Is there a rollback procedure for Defender for Endpoint on Windows and on Linux?
So if I install an updated version of the agent, can I back it out?
If so, what is the procedure?

2nd question: can you select automatic or manual updated for Defender for endpoint on both windows and linux? If so, what's the procedure?
