We have hub and spoke network topology connecting our azure subscription to on-prem

When the user wants to connect to the Azure VMs, he will connect via the Jump Server.

in the Hub, we are using Azure Virtual WAN as firewall . we wanted to check the possibility of using an Azure Bastion as Jump Server and this will be placed in the Hub subscription alongside the Azure Virtual WAN. Will this work ?

Does Azure Virtual WAN support Azure Bastion ?

Azure Virtual WAN

Azure Bastion

    Hello @Az Techie ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.

Please find the answer to your query below:

Does Azure Virtual WAN support Azure Bastion?

Yes, you can use Azure Bastion for Virtual WAN deployments. However, deploying Azure Bastion within a Virtual WAN hub isn't supported. You can deploy Azure Bastion in a spoke VNet and use the IP-based connection feature to connect to virtual machines deployed across a different VNet via the Virtual WAN hub. For more information, see Set up routing configuration for a virtual network connection.
