How to set different working hours on the calendar for each day of the week!

We have some employees that are part time and work different hours on different days of the week. It looks like currently we can only set our "work time" as the same start and end time on the days we mark for the "work week". Is there not a way to set the working hours to be different on different days? Not everyone works Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm....

For example: Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-2pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 12pm-5pm.

I know that recurring meetings could just be scheduled and block off the times, but that is not ideal and seems this more advanced & customizable feature should be available. Appreciate any feedback.

I am able to get the web version of this solution to work, but the desktop app for Outlook doesn't let me specify individual days. Is there a way I could get it to work or request that feature be added to the Outlook app, since that is what I use more often? Thank you.

Hi, I have a two-week rolling off duty.

Is it possible to set a working pattern for week one and set another pattern for week two? The only way I can do this at this time is to go in each week and change manually.

    Many thanks

This is not resolved on the desktop version. It only shows up on the web version.

    Dear EAHH

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by setting different working hours. I have reviewed the scenario in Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2409 Build 16.0.18025.20030) 64-bit, in the current channel. You can set different working hours for each day of the week in Outlook.

Navigation: File > Options > Calendar > Work hours and location

This feature is also available in the web version of Outlook for Microsoft 365.

To set work hours in Outlook:

    1. Sign in to Outlook Mail - Outlook (office365.com)
    2. Go to Settings > Calendar > Work hours and location.
    3. Select the checkboxes for the days you want to set different working hours.
    4. Use the dropdowns to select your start and end times for each day.
    5. Click Save to apply the changes.

If you are experiencing any difficulties, please share the following details:

    • Could you please confirm which version of Outlook are you currently using? For obtaining your Outlook version and product details:
Share your Outlook version and product details:
      • For New Outlook: Go to Settings > General > About Outlook.
      • For Classic Outlook: Navigate to File > Office Account.
Take a screenshot of the entire page (excluding personal information) and share it with us.
Reference: What version of Outlook do I have?
    • Please provide details regarding your specific Office 365 subscription. Are you using Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard, Enterprise, or Education? Alternatively, is it Microsoft 365 Family, Personal, Office 365 Home and Business, Office 365 Home and Student, or a Personal Outlook.com subscription?

Sharing the information requested above will help us provide more accurate assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please do not hesitate to post your queries in the Microsoft Community, and we will always do our best to assist you!

    Sincerely
