Microsoft Family is restricting me even though I'm literally the only person who uses my computer.

It's exactly what it says. Every time I try to use Google Chrome or FireFox, it says that I need to ask parent's permissions... **even though I AM the parent and I'm the only person in the family group.**I've looked all over and nothing, and I mean NOTHING has worked whatsoever. This has been going on for several YEARS at this point and I'm so sick and tired of it. I'm 18+, I'm (again) the only person in the family group, and the email the parent thing? Yeah, it comes up as an error and it says "oh we're trying to fix it" WELL FIX IT ALREADY. I've tried removing myself. I've tried managing permissions (spoilers, can't do any of that). I've tried everything I can think of and I'm at my wit's end. Either give us an option that works, or fix it. It's that simple, and this shouldn't even be an issue. But it is because SOMEONEthought it'd be a swell idea to have Microsoft Family affect ONE PERSON AND NOT HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS FOR IT THAT WORK. I know I sound extremely aggravated but it's genuine, and I'm just so sick and tired of not being able to do anything because of this STUPID Microsoft Family stuff that shouldn't even be a thing for people who are the sole users of their respective computer and their respective OS.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

    • What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
    • How many users account profile configured on the PC?
    • Did you check the date of birth in Microsoft Account?

In this scenario, we would suggest you to create a new user account with administrative rights and check if the issue persists. Creating a new user account will not remove any data, app or settings from your current user account, this is just a troubleshooting steps to eliminate the possibility of user profile corruption. Refer this article to create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

Let us know the results. If the issue persists, we will certainly assist you further.
