Win 11 WSUS client with zero needed count

Hi there,

We have a Win 2022 server with WSUS, plus a bunch of Win 11 clients. These clients are shown as 100% patched on WSUS with zero needed count. There are some recent updates that we have approved for Win 11, but the WSUS clients show these updates as installed/not applicable.

However, when I do an Windows Update check online on the Win 11 clients, they picked up new updates and installed. And these updates are the one we have approved in WSUS but are flagged as not applicable.

Any reason why please?

Thanks for your posting on Q&A.

Please help to confirm what are the KB numbers of updates are downloaded and installed when the devices scanning updates from the Internet. Perhaps due to missing the other security updates, so the the Windows 11 Feature Update shown as not applicable.

It will be helpful if you could share the windowsupdate.log on the devices which scanned updates from the Internet and upgrade to Windows 11 successfully. We could open PowerShell as an administrator and print the get-windowsupdatelog to get the log file. Note that the log file will be placed into the Desktop by default.
