How to reset intune (App protection policy) PIN with MAM setup as an Admin

Our organisation uses M365 services and a BYOD for devices so using MAM with multi-factor auth (Microsoft Authenticator app) and the MAM apps Outlook, Teams, OneDrive with enabled App Protection Policies which requires a PIN to be set upon enrolment and changed every 90 days.

I'm stuck trying to reset the app PIN sometimes called "intune PIN" looking through azure portal and intune portals I see no 'PIN reset' or equivalent. None of the articles on the web show how to do this only reset of password or phone passcode. The MS FAQs page on intune app protection policy states nothing, a couple articles for self-service but nothing for admins.

Either there is no function to do this which so far we have to have the user completely delete apps and start the whole enrolment process again, which is silly or the function needs to be enabled? e.g. PIN recovery enable? Is that for self-service or for admins or both?

Hoping there is a simple solution, it just really does not make sense there is no 'reset PIN' option.
