Up until recently, I was able to connect to Teams meetings just fine with my MacBook Pro. I would go to my calendar, open the Teams meeting, click Join, the meeting would load into my Chrome browser ... and that was pretty much it.
For the last couple of weeks, when I click on the Join button for a Teams meeting, I get cycled through the previous couple of meetings I was on, several times. Finally, by the fifth or sixth attempt, I may be lucky and get connected to the meeting I was actually trying to join. Or it may take more tries ... but I usually end up being late for my meetings.
I tried all the "fixes" that have been recommended on various forums (clearing browser cache, deleting preferences, etc, etc) ... none have worked. Even trying the Teams app has been a dead end for me. The App starts up and then sits there with the whirling beachball of death.
Admittedly this is an older Mac (2011) running El Capitan ... but I also have a newer MacBook at work (2020, running the latest OS) and that does exactly the same thing!
I'm now strongly suspecting this is due to some change made to Teams by Microsoft ... if I'm wrong, can someone help me get rid of this nerve-shredding glitch?

Try to uninstall and reinstall the Teams App on your Mac. Restart your Mac after uninstalling Teams, and then download the Teams App from the Mac App Store.
Sorry, that doesn't help ... as I said, I'm trying to use the Chrome browser to joins a Teams meeting, not the Teams app.

2 .If using other clients for test, for example Teams browser client on mobile or Windows, would the issue persist? - I don't know. Don't have a company mobile but my Windows PC (which I normally log into remotely) joins the same Teams meetings with hardly a second's hesitation
3 .How did the meeting organizers create the meeting, in Outlook, Teams or other applications? - In Outlook, I believe

If other attendees copy and share the meeting link with you via a chat, would clicking the link to join the meeting work?
I'll give that a try with my next meeting ... thanks for the tip. I'll let you know if that works.
