Has anyone figured out how to fix Mac OBS Virtual Camera not appearing in Teams? Is this something they are going to fix in there next update. A big problem for educators in the coming weeks if it is not sorted.

I think it's a problem of "App signature" with Teams Installer/Application that is not 100% latest macOS compatible (as it should be).

You can force it by entering these commands in a terminal shell (Teams on mac is more than "one" app, so you need to restore the signature for each)

    sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app"

    sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app/Contents/Frameworks/Microsoft Teams Helper (GPU).app"

    sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app/Contents/Frameworks/Microsoft Teams Helper (Plugin).app/"

    sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app/Contents/Frameworks/Microsoft Teams Helper (Renderer).app/"

Then relaunch Teams. (It will ask for your permissions)

You will have to do it after each update, because Teams integrated update is not working anymore, so it resets the signature at every "fresh" installation...

They break the virtual cameras with every weekly release it seems.  I am not sure why they can't figure this out.

Does anyone have a fix for this yet?

OBS virtual cam doesn't show up in Teams for me, unless I use the browser version (which has very limited functionality compared to the desktop app).

As well as only accepting a direct feed from my webcam, not via OBS, Teams also limits the resolution to 360p.  (The webcam is full HD)

I have updated to OBS 26.1.0

    Am on Teams v1.3.00.30874

Would love to know if anyone has a fix

If possible, just use the screen sharing option. Activate in OBS the preview in "windowed projector (preview)" and screen share the window of the preview. Might be a complicated solution, but it works for me.
