Word documents blurring

Hello,

I have a user with an issue with Word documents that will blur after being open for a while.

Things I've tried:

  • Updated device drivers and firmware
  • Updated Windows and Office
  • Disabled all add-ins
  • Used SaRA to uninstall and reinstall Office

Things to note about the user's usage:

  • Always has at least 3 documents open at once
  • Happens to docs shared to him via OneDrive/Sharepoint, docs he creates from scratch, and docs from email attachments
  • His workaround is to close the document and re-open it. Sometimes this fails, so he emails a copy to himself and works out of the copy
  • Sometimes the documents will blur after 30 minutes, sometimes they blur after a few hours

Example of the issue:

What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved?

All the best,

Steven

    Hey Ralph,

Disabling that scroll setting did not resolve the issue. This is a serious impediment to the user's workflow.

What else can be done to resolve this issue?

    All the best,

    Steven

    Dear Steven,

Good day! hope you are doing well.

After, some investigation from my end noticed that some people were experiencing this issue, and it may be bug. To confirm this could you please try this workaround which is to disable the “Drag two fingers to scroll” on the touchpad feature. Here are the steps:

    1. Open the Settings app on your computer.
    2. Navigate to Bluetooth & Devices.
    3. Select Touchpad.
    4. Under the Scroll & Zoom section, find the option for Drag two fingers to scroll.
    5. Toggle the switch to Off.

I understand that this might be annoying as this feature is practically essential for day-to-day use. However, for the sake of troubleshooting, could you please test this and check if the issue still persists

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.

    Sincerely,
