Question

Hi,

I'm unable to install the cumulative update as it fails at 100% when installing. I had the same issue with KB503156 where it fails installation, which although was not fixed, it was superseded by the latest KB5032189 update. CBS log shows errors as below:

Unfortunately this is not the easiest way to fix, at least for me. I have to download the whole ISO again, which means I have to pay for the extra data needed. This might not seem costly, but for me it is. Again due to cost constraints I have only a 210 GB SSD with only 23 GB free. So, I doubt if an In-place Upgrade is the right way to go.

In the meantime, I can either ignore this error or wait until a fix is available.

I fixed the issue not with the latest Windows ISO but with the ISO of my current build version (19045.3448) from uupdump.net. From this ISO I could install Windows again but by keeping my files and settings. I think I saved a few GBs from downloading from UUP rather than from Microsoft.

The KB5032189 update took a long time but it eventually did install bringing my build to 19045.3693.
