"Manage Mobile Devices" Feature Disabled in Windows 11 Home Edition

I'm experiencing an issue with the "Manage mobile devices" feature in Windows 11 Home Edition. Initially, I could access and manage my mobile devices via Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices. However, this functionality has become disabled and grayed out, preventing further access.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken

  1. **Checked for Windows Updates:**Ensured that the system is up to date with the latest Windows updates
  2. Reinstalled Phone Link App
    • Uninstalled the Phone Link app via Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
    • Reinstalled it from the Microsoft Store.
    • The issue remains unresolved.

Request for Assistance:

I would appreciate guidance on resolving this issue.

Thanks, Deep.

Let us try upgrading to 24H2, the latest feature update.

Download Windows 11

Use the Installation Assistant to Download Windows 11

Alternatively, download an ISO file and Run Setup.exe to Start the Upgrade, using Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.

All the steps, including MCT and Installation Assistant, are covered here:

type cmd, right-click it, and choose run as administrator.

    execute

    winget uninstall 9NTXGKQ8P7N0

Press yes when prompted and reboot.

Then open the Window again and use this command to install it.

    winget install 9NTXGKQ8P7N0

Configure it again and let me know.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.

    Dear Sumit,

I have followed the steps you previously outlined, however, I am still unable to enable the "Show mobile device in File Explorer" option.

Whenever I attempt to toggle this option to "On," it automatically reverts back to "Off."

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?
