I'm using ODT (last version 16.0.15225.20204) & & deploy Office Standard 2021 Volume
I used the following configuration file:
<Configuration>
<Add SourcePath="C:\Soft\Office 2021" OfficeClientEdition="64" Channel="PerpetualVL2021">
<Product ID="Standard2021Volume" PIDKEY="XXXXX" >
<Language ID="en-us" />
</Product>
</Add>
<RemoveMSI />
<Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
<Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
<Logging Level="Standard" Path="%temp%" />
</Configuration>

I received error:
This product cannot be installed on the selected update channel

    Hi @Михаил Андросов

    I am glad that your issue is resolved and thanks for sharing the update here.

    By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others.", and according to the scenario introduced here: Answering your own questions on Microsoft Q&A, I would make a brief summary of this thread:

    Issue Symptom:

    When installing Office Standard 2021 from local source (Download the Office installation file on local machine in advance), the error message prompts up: "This product cannot be installed on the selected update channel."

    Cause & Solution:

    There is a problem with the installation file. Running the latest ODT with correct .xml file to download the correct installation package can solve this issue.

    Thanks for the help. Everything worked out.
    Indeed, I downloaded Office 2021 with the ODT version program, which was released during Office 2019.
    I have now repeated the download and installation using the latest version of ODT. The configuration file was created before downloading and did not change it during the download and installation process.

    Hi @Михаил Андросов

    “PerpetualVL2021” is the only update channel available for Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 and Office LTSC Standard 2021. The PerpetualVL2021 update channel is also available for volume licensed versions of Project 2021 and Visio LTSC 2021.
    Please check whether there is any other Office product installed on your machine?
    Such as Visio, Project. If yes, please check their version names.
    If there are other Office products that are not compatible with this PerpetualVL2021 update channel, it is recommended to uninstall them completely first.

    Besides, I also want to confirm whether the installation files are downloaded via the same configuration file above?
    I suggest you install Office from CDN (Default source path) instead of local path "C:\Soft\Office 2021" to have a check. Such as via following ,xml file.

    <Configuration>
    <Add OfficeClientEdition="64" Channel="PerpetualVL2021">
    <Product ID="Standard2021Volume">
    <Language ID="en-us" />
    </Product>
    </Add>
    <RemoveMSI />
    <Display Level="Yes" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
    <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
    </Configuration>

    If there is not any other Office products existed, installing Office from CDN does not work, please try older versions of ODT.

    Any updates, welcome to post back.
