I've seen that this particular error code 0x80070424 might affect various application installation attempts. Did this error appear only when trying to install Minecraft?
Here are some quick solutions you could try. Before doing any intrusive troubleshooting like reinstalling, try using the built-in troubleshooting tools:
- Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
Start -> type "Troubleshoot" -> Click Windows Update -> Run the Troubleshooter
Follow the prompts to download any updates needed. You may be prompted to download files to fix Windows Update Database corruption.
Reboot and attempt to install the app again.
- Perform a Repair in Place / Repair Upgrade. It is a reinstallation of Windows 10 that retains your system settings and installed programs. You will need to have your installation disk ready or download the Win10 ISO and sign in with Administrator rights.
