For s system to PXE boot across subnets (broadcast domains really) you need to forward the PXE broadcasts to the PXE server using ip helpers at the network layer or use DHCP scope options to direct the PXE request. We (Microsoft) only support and strongly recommend using ip helpers. If you are unfamiliar with ip helpers, please consult your networking team or vendor. Note that none of this is specific to ConfigMgr is simply how PXE works.
SCCM 2203 TS issue with DHCP IP SCOPE Address Range
Hi
We have a SCCM Server version 2203 and we have a DHCP Server with two SCOPE Range IP-Address
one of these SCOPE is 192.168 and the other SCOPE is 172.30. The SCCM Server has the IP Address 192.168. If I boot my Client machine is connected with 192.168. Network, I can boot it with Network (F12) and the client get a IP Address from 192.168 and the booting does work. If the Client machine is connected with 172.30, the client is not getting any IP Address of 172.30.
The Reason is, because the SCCM Server is or has the IP Address 192.68.
Is there anyway to do that the Client machine can boot with 172.30 too?
DHCP and 066 Boot File Server?
Regards
