How do I verify I have access to the directory?

When I was opening the epic game launcher it made me update it several times and kept on bringing me back to the update screen after finishing the update like a loop. I then uninstall Epic Games Launcher and tried to re-install it from the epic games launcher setup I had just downloaded from Epic Games website. I was then prompted with "verify your access to the directory" whilst attempting to download the Epic Games Launcher.

    1. Open File Explorer → This PC
    2. Right-click on the C: drive and click Properties
    3. Click Tools → click on the “Check” button.
    4. Click “Scan drive”.

After the scan completes, try to delete the folder.
