Hi Ricky,

Please provide some more information for me to understand the issue better.

1.      Have you updated the camera drivers?

2.      Do you see any exclamation mark in Device Manager under Camera?

3.      How did you install Windows 8? Did you install using Windows upgrade assistant?

This may be due to compatibility of hardware with Windows 8. You may try the following steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue.

Method 1: Run Hardware troubleshooter.

a.       Press Windows + W key on the keyboard.

b.      Type troubleshooting in the search tab and press Enter.

c.       Click View all on left panel**.**

d.      Click Hardware and devices, new window will popup.

e.       Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: Check if the hardware is compatible with Windows 8.

You may refer to the link to check the compatibility.

If the drivers are not compatible with Windows 8, you may install the drivers in compatibility mode.

You may refer to the following link to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows

You may also contact the computer manufacturer for further assistance.

Please get back to us and let us know if this helps in resolving the issue.
