User

Hello,
I have a Corsair Virtuoso SE wireless headset (using a dongle for the wireless), the mic and the sound works perfectly fine when used separately but when I want to use my mic while having the sound on, the mic begin to make some buggy/laggy/chopped sound. It is just some sort of noise but it react with my voice with a 5 second delay. My headset works on my laptop but it does not on my desktop computer. I even tried to reset my computer thinking that putting it at the same level as my laptop would fix the problem but it did not. I don't know what is the problem because a year ago, my headset worked perfectly fine but one day, this problem appeared and since then, I tried everything to fix it. I tried every possible fix that I found on the internet:

  • going back to a former version of icue and drivers: tried it, it did not work
  • set as the device as default: did not change anything
  • update audio drivers: the icue app does it automatically but even when I update it manually it does not change anything
  • changing aufio format: I put the lowest one that my headset allowed and it did ot change anything
  • changing usb port: nothing changed
  • disable other audio device: I tried and even after reseting my computer so there was no other audio devices, it did not change anything
  • test with other app: I tried on discord and firefox and both have the problem
  • and many other

I Hope that someone knows how to fix it. If you need any other information, I would gladly provide it.

Regards,
Colinterz

    Hello, Colinterz

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Corsair Virtuoso SE wireless headset. It sounds like you have tried many possible solutions, but none of them worked. I appreciate your patience and persistence in trying to fix the problem. There are a few more things you can try:

    • Use the Mic Boost feature in iCUE: This article explains how to use the Mic Boost feature in iCUE to increase the gain of the microphone, which may help with the low volume issue. It also provides other tips such as changing to DVD quality and fixing volume issues in Discord.
    • Open the Power Options in your computer's Control Panel, locate the USB settings, and make sure the "Selective Suspend" option is disabled. This can prevent power interruptions that may affect the performance of USB devices.
    • Visit the manufacturer's website for your desktop's motherboard and download the compatible drivers, particularly the USB drivers.
    • Disable audio enhancements. Apply the changes and check if it makes any difference.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's advisable to reach out to Corsair's customer support: CONTACT CORSAIR. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or solutions for the problem you're experiencing. Remember to provide detailed information about your computer's specifications, operating system version, and any other relevant details when contacting support. This will assist them in diagnosing the issue more effectively.

    Almost same problem here.

But i got sound corruption what sounds like a rly bad roboter voice.

It's only when I use apps wich need the microphone input like discord or teamspeak. It works for 5-10 min the it gets corrupted.

On my old Computer with the older Version of iCue. (ICue 3) it works perfectly fine.

Im looking for a solution for this problem but im setting up my new PC with Windows 10 cause 11 had some problems that trigger me extremly.

When i find a solution i post it here, but it could take some time. Maybe one of us with this specific problem could try some oder Versions of Icue. Maybe it helps.

PS my headset wasn't linked in iCue

Maybe its working fine on Windows 10

Good luck i know its pain but maybe we can find a solution

Found out that there was a Problem with the L-Connect 3 Software for the Lianli strimer cables.

I don't know if you have some but if so just close the app.

Otherwise I would recommend to close all other softwares that are currently active on your computer.

Maybe some of them are buggy too with Icue.

Otherwise reset your whole PC and go bit for bit like I did. Its rly annoying but it could help. Most of the time its a software bug. :)
