    Hi, @Prashant Chauhan

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Yes, we can upgrade the OS from 2012 R2 to 2016 or 2019, here is the official documentation:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/servers/manage/upgrade-on-premises-infrastructure#upgrade-the-os-of-site-systems

And here is a step by step guidance for your reference:

Hi Allen , Thank you for suggestion.

But need to know reason first as without knowing back ground its not good to upgrade 10+ sccm distribution points.

Strange part : SCCM main server upgraded sucessfully - but now only 4 of 10 distribution connecting. rest showing access denied. when we rolled back they are connecting succesfully.

    Please support

The upgrade path is supported. Might need some more information on the issue post upgrade to be able to comment on the access denied problem. I also have an upgrade guide - https://sccmentor.com/2021/07/27/in-place-upgrade-of-configmgr-site-server-from-windows-2012-r2-to-2019/

What issues are you having with the upgrade to 2203 on server 2012 R2? Is it worth fixing this first then doing a backup and restore to a new OS server rather then an in-place upgrade?
