I have a widescreen LG monitor connected to my ThinkPad laptop. I have this set to be able to move screens to the widescreen monitor.
The problem: My windows keep switching positions on the extended monitor, and from the laptop to the extended monitor randomly as I'm working.
Do you have the latest video driver installed?
What is happening when the switch occurs?
If the application has not fully moved over from one monitor to the next, the app window will have some resolution irregularities.
1.Install the latest graphics adapter driver.
2.Configure the most suitable resolution on both of your laptop and LG monitor, make sure they use the same resolution. Turn off the widescreen monitor, restart laptop, login system, next turn on widescreen monitor.
3.Disable Microsoft Transient Multi-Monitor Manager (TMM).
a. Click on Start; in the start search type Task Scheduler and press Enter.
b. In the 'Task Scheduler Library', select Microsoft >>Windows >> Mobile PC.
c. Right click 'TMM' and select 'Disable'.
d. Restart.
