Volume goes up & down by itself

The volume on my pc isn't working when I take part in a zoom meeting or playing back a recording (zoom/youtube/webinar). It starts out ok then dips down to almost nothing, then goes up again for a few seconds before going down again. My speakers are on 100%. I have run troubleshooting but nothing is coming up. The pc is only a few months old. The sound worked properly once maybe 2/3 months ago then didn't work again.

Hi it has helped a little in that the volume level isn't fluctuating like it was but the output level is still very low, on 100% it's still very quiet.
