Hello,
Looking into an issue for a client of ours, all staff members use WVD exclusively.
A user has complained that the Delay Delivery function has not worked since April. They compose an email without issue and then go to enable Delay Delivery. They adjust the time and keep all other settings as default.
The issues begin when the email is in the Outbox.
If you select the email, it goes into edit mode, whether you make changes or not clicking send on the email does not put the email back into send mode. The send arrow icon appears very briefly then returns back to the edit page icon. As we know, emails in the Outbox in edit mode will not send.
As you can see in the above picture one email is in edit mode and another is in send mode. The email in send mode will be sent at 17:00 as long as I do not interact with it, however, the email in edit mode will not be sent as I have no way of returning it to send mode after interacting with it.
I have tried another fresh, default account in the same WVD environment and the issue persists. With the same account I can use Delay Delivery on my local computer's Outlook and everything works as expected.
So the issue is isolated to the WVD and it is likely not an issue with anything unique to the user in question.
One final thing to mention is that opening Outlook in Safe Mode on WVD allowed Delayed Delivery to work without issue. I could even go into the Outbox and retroactively put emails back into send mode, any emails past their sent time were sent straight after. For those who may be thinking add-ons may be responsible, the test account does not have any, and I have already tested the one add-on on the users Outlook disabled.
I'm truly at a loss at what to look at next. Any insight and suggests would be very much appreciated. If you require any further information please just ask and I will do my best to deliver.
Thank you for your time.
